WC3 DOTA Cup Spring 2005




The Rules
by: zm As many seem to prefer to already see the rules here is an overview of what we had prepared. -X will be replaced with the result of the poll. Comments are very welcome!
In case major issues arise we will run more polls before cupstart (as in what to ban, or creepstick yes/no)



Server Settings
1. All games are to be played on Battle.net.
2. The default gateway is Northrend and default channel is Clan CB, but can be changed if both clans agree on it. <
Client Settings
1. All matches are to be played on Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
2. CustomKeys.txt and Voice Communication Tools may be used, but no other third party programs are allowed during matches. <
Match rules - general
1. Every match is played 5 vs 5. A game may not be started with less players on a team.
2. Every hero, every skill and every item is allowed to be used. (Morph & Refresher under discussion)
3. If more than 2 players of one clan disconnect the game will be automatically forfeited.
4. In case of a single disconnect the game will only be replayed if both clans agree on it or if less than 5 minutes have passed AND no kill against the disconnecting players team has been made. In case of replay same triggers and heros must be used. -ap overrules -ar in a regame to select same heros; this also counts for -mm games where the disconnecting team has to choose all previously mm'ed heros.
5. Creepskipping is not allowed. This means you may only attack buildings (Towers/Barracks etc) when you are with a wave of your own creeps. Destroying a building without creeps will result in a yellow card.
6. To win a game either destroy the enemy main hall or make more than 2 players of one team leave. <
Match rules - group matches
1. Each group match consists of 2 matches of DOTA Allstars 5on5 with -X enabled. Alternative triggers may be used if both clans agree on it. The blue player is responsible of setting the right triggers and must use "All Chat" to activate them.
2. Each clan hosts one of the 2 maps. The non-hosting clan decides on Scourge or Sentinel position. The clan to challenge the war first may decide the order of hosting. <
Match rules - playoff matches
1. Each playoff match consists of one Best of 3 DOTA Allstars 5on5. The first two matches are played with -X enabled. If a third match is needed it will be played with -mm -X. Alternative triggers may be used if both clans agree on it. The blue player is responsible of setting the right triggers and must use "say all" to activate them.
2. Each clan hosts one of the first 2 maps. The non-hosting clan decides on Scourge or Sentinel position. The clan to challenge the war first may decide the order of hosting. If a third map is used the team with more kills decides who hosts. The non-hosting clan decides once again on Scourge or Sentinel position. <
Match proceedings
1. Players are allowed to pause the game in case of visible technical problems of a player (sudden lagging) for 5 minutes in total during a match. Tactical time outs are not allowed. Problems with a voice communication program being used are no valid reasons to pause a match. The other team may immediately unpause if there is no visible lagging.
2. The break between maps may not exceed 10 minutes.<

Interesante lo de las reglas nos va a servir para el proximo torneo. De las reglas lo que me llamo la atención es eso de no poder bajar torres ni barracks sin la compañia de creeps(no mas SA escabullendose para ir a bajar los barracks).

me parece mas peligroso un bone pqe te pasa la torre en 2 segundos de lo rapido q va el puto.

Che hoy gane un partido con la sirena por hacer un asqueroso creepskipping, le baje un barrack y una torre primero, dps 2 barracks y dps 2 barracks. Ahora ya veo porque lo prohibieron mientras todo el team resiste en lvl alto uno se puede mandar y hacer bosta una base, a menos que tenga uno del otro team boots of travel o esta furion en el otro team.

es medio cobarde hacer eso. ojala lo arregle guinsoo pajero para el proximo dota. no se como pero el sabe

Hoy jugue otro y lo ganamos porque mientras ellos pusheaban nuestro furion hacia tele a las criptas enemigas sacaba arbolitos y las rompia(sin lugar a dudas la principal razón por la que esta prohibido el creepskip es furion).Obligando a los otros a volver, y para colmo las terminaba bajando. Impresionante como les bajo las criptas y ganamos solamente por eso porque los otros tres de nuestro team apestaban (tenian como 40 muertes y 3 kills). Lo peor fue que en los promedios los que sacaron mas puntos fueron 4 del otro team y yo apenitas menos que ellos, todo el resto de nuestro team tenia muchisimo menos puntos que ellos.
