Post Solucion para problemas con DLL del directx

re daria que lo hagan stick por que no es tan fácil de conseguir

aca ta la solucion

First, I must say that this was eluded too in another thread and I passed it off as nice to know, but doesnt affect me since I had a clean install of windows and dx. I apologize to that poster if I seemed gruff in my response. This entire launch has been frustrating to say the least.

I did however, take the information to heart and it started me on further research.

So I have stumbled upon a corruption issue with DX installs. It seems some games can corrupt the DirectX installation when they themsleves determine you need new DX files and auto-install the files.

This has been documented here.

Here are my recomennded steps to help fix this issue.

1.) Download and install but DO NOT RUN CCleaner (yes that is 2 C's)
2.) Download and install but DO NOT RUN Driver Sweeper
3.) Download but DO NOT install latest Video Card Drivers
4.) Download but DO NOT install DirectX
5.) Unistall current video drivers - DO NOT REBOOT!
6.) Run Drive Sweeper
7.) Run CCleaner
8.) Reboot into Safe Mode
9.) Run Drive Sweeper
10.) Run CCleaner
11.) Install DirectX SEE NOTE BELOW
12.) Reboot into Normal Mode
13.) Install New Video Drivers

NOTE: If you chose to download a different DirectX file from MS (such as the sdk), know that installing the SDK alone is not enough. You must execute the dxsetup.exe in the Redist package. On Vista, the default directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft DirectX SDK (March 2008)\Redist

This may not solve everybody's problems, but it has allowed me into the game long enough to create a character and play smoothly for 5 - 10 minutes on High Settings at max resolution before an APPCRASH that wasnt not related to DirectX. There are many more problems I think than just corrupt DirectX.

There is still more tweaking to do and there is an excellent thread here that is showing good results for many people.

UPDATE - I am playing for hours and hours now with no crashing. Check my thread HERE for more details on how I fixed my problems.

If you are curious, I am running AMD and ATI:

AMD 64 X2 5000+ @ 3.3Ghz.
4Gb OCZ RAM
HD3870 IceQ3 Turbo
Vista Ultimate 64 Bit sp1
