Prot pvp Block Value

Buenas, quiero y tengo ganas de probar una build pvp protec Shield Slam - Block Value. Estuve investigando y hay un cap q se agrego en la version 3.2 o 3.3 no recuerdo bien q hay que llegar a 2500 de BV. Mi pregunta es, funca bien en el server BV??? Hay alguno que lo haya probado??

Otra cosa q me gustaria es si alguno tiene una guia de war protec ARP-Crit (o consejos mas que nada). La verdad q me encanta war protec pero se que el set q requiere es de los mas altos.

Sí, funciona bien el block value con el shield slam.

En la 3.3 se agrego un nerf aun mayor al block value y el shield slam, lo maximo que llega a tomar de block value es alrededor de 1950.

O sea que el top de block value estaria en 1950, seria lo optimo para la build de shield slam. Despues (asumiendo que esta capeado hit) se stackea arpen+stamina, verdad?.
Estoy probando el prot pvp en bg hace unas semanas, todavia no consegui un "gear" balanceado, tengo todo mezclado buscando el mayor BV y el cap de hit.

Pero es HERMOSO, ver como sufren los warlocks / mages con tal solo tener los talents bien puestos.

Si alguno se ofrece, quiero hacer arenas, pero no tengo "amigos" en el server que quieran probar con un prot pvp, sin enojarse como quinceañeras. Estoy en la horda.

Debe ser la build mas gear-dependiente del juego. Si no planeas hacer bastante PvE para eventualmente sacar los items que requiere te recomiendo que la empieces a abandonar antes de frustrarte demasiado xD . Y si stackeas algo ademas de arpen es critic / MOAR ARPEN. Sos un warr prot, no necesitas stamina.

Status al momento : Me cagan a palo, esta bueno porque me pegan de a 3, a los warlocks mages los vuelvo locos, pero hago muy poco dmg, 4k-5k con rek+block+battestance pegando con slam, despues varia entre 1-2k por slam, MUY poco, estoy en 1600 de BV, estimo que es por eso.

Es porque simplemente una build basada en block value no sirve para PvP, porque lo único que te beneficia es el shield slam. Tu habilidad que termina pegando mas es el shockwave ,y el shockwave se beneficia del AP /Arpen . Lo mas conveniente es andar con 2/5 t10 para el bonus de daño en el shield slam y el resto equipo pvp / pve maxeando arpen. No vayas por mas de 600-700 resil, intentá maxearte todo lo que puedas en arpen, la 1hand con mas weapon dmg que tengas y un escudo con BV.

2 partes del t9 (bloq Value) 2 del t10 (20% daño aumentado bloq value)...

El resto gemeando arpen como iría? Estoy siguiendo esa guía pero si no da resultados en este server veo que hago.

Esa guía mismo en los comentarios están diciendo que está desactualizada, la época del block value prot pvp terminó con los nerfs que le hicieron al stat.

El primer nerf fue en el parche 3.2.0 (04-Aug-2009): "The benefit from additional block value this ability gains is now subject to diminishing returns. Diminishing returns occur once block value exceeds 30 times the player's level and caps the maximum damage benefit from shield block value at 37.5 times the player's level".

El segundo nerf fue en el parche 3.3.2 (2010-01-02): "The damage scaling from block value for this ability now diminishes faster and diminishes starting at a lower block value. The difference should be negligible for players in high-end tanking armor. In addition, the threat caused by Shield Slam has been increased by 30%".

También se nerfearon otros talentos de la rama de prot, por ejemplo antes el improved revenge tenía chance de stunear en 50%, warbringer permitía que al chargear el warr se pudiera sacar de frost novas, raíces, etc. Todo video que encuentres de warr tanks equipados con items de tank con block value haciendo pvp y pegando críticos enormes de shield slam seguramente sea en un parche anterior, por ejempleo acá https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhX40s-lH3g

"spec into either 15/5/51 if u wanna play with deep wounds.. if not (u play in comp with CC partners) go with 13/8/51 (some people like getting Vigilance which is really worth it imo.. 3% dmg reduce on arena partner is way better than 1% crit from crit talent)

after u get all those talent who reduce the rage cost of heroic strike u will get a heroic strike from 15 rage cost to 9 rage. Glyph of Heroic strike will make it so Heroic strike returns u 10 rage if crits.. which means as long as u crit with it u have free Heroic Strike + 1 bonus rage..

make a macro heroic strike+devastate.. and spam it when u have high rage (dont use it on low rage cuz if crit doesnt happen on HS u will rage starve)

Gems: Gem all into ARP and get neck,back,bracer and rings all with stats ARP+crit+agility .. most important stats for prot warr are arp and crit.. also get the crit meta
in 2v2 u will need 0 resilience (2x Tier 10 tank + 2x tier 10 dps + 1 random pve gear piece)
in 3v3 u will need around 500 res (2x wrathful parts + 2x tier 10 tank + 1 random pve)

2x Tier 10 tank is the most important gear u gotta get..
if you are rele geared and dont have access to those gears yet the best way to gear up is by stacking some block value from gear,offset.. 2x t9 head+legs
