Creo que hay bugs un poco mas gamebreaking que este como para andar rompiendo TANTO las pelotas.
El hecho de que en los palas salte resist, es por el Sacred Cleansing, y eso no es afectado por el spell pen que tengas, si tenes 999 o 0, la chance de resistirte cosas en un 30% sigue estando ahí.

estamos todos locos entonces, yo tengo 0 spn y cuando salta el cleansing resiste un 90% de lo que tiro, que sera de un sp no?.

En ese caso (Teóricamente ese bug fue arreglado hace tiempo) lo bugueado si te resisten un "90%" es el sacred cleansing, y no el spell pen. Leé el tooltip del Sacred Cleansing y fijate... Estaríamos hablando de un serio bug de spell pen si el loco te resistiera muchas habilidades solo usando el aura shadow, por ponerte un ejemplo.
Ademas de warrior juego warlock affli, y no honestamente no siento que el sacred cleansing esté jodiendo tanto como antes. Sí, sigue siendo un talent molesto porque te tira resists y te come globals/maná, pero bueno, para eso está, para molestarte.

el cleansing del pala tiene una mecanica que no tiene nada q ver con el spell pen. dice q resiste el 30% de los hechizos. no que te aumenta la resistencia un 30%. eso se debatio en otro thread hace mucho. en el cual habia un bug q el pala resistia 30% por cada punto de talento q se le daba. stackeaba y llegaba al 90%. ya se fixeo.
lo otro que planteas de resistir o disminuir el tiempo de cceo al tener resistencias y el cceador no tener spell pen encontre threads en wowwiki que lo sugieren pero no lo dicen claramente por ejemplo:

Binary Resist and Non-Binary Resist Edit
Spell resistance is the second of two rolls to determine whether or not a spell is resisted. (Spell hit is the first roll.) The spell resistance roll will calculate in one of two different ways: one way for Binary Spells, another way for non-Binary spells. Non-binary spells are spells which only deal damage (like Fireball or Shadow Bolt). Binary spells are spells which deal a debuff (like Frost Nova or Vampiric Embrace) or, for some other reason, must take full effect or no effect at all.
For binary spells
Resistance reduces the chance for the binary spell to land by a certain percentage. Spell hit will not reduce this chance. It is assumed that this percentage is exactly the damage reduction percentage given above.
For non-binary spells
Resistance increases the chance to suffer only a fraction of the spell's normal damage. As of Wrath of the Lich King, the possible percentages of damage resisted are weighted in sections of 0%, 10%, 20%, ..., 100% averaging to the same overall damage mitigation.[3] However only the closest three or four sections will ever occur at a given resistance value. This allows a sufficiently high resistance to guarantee a certain resist percentage, even in the worst case. DoT spells are now considered non-binary and the partial resistance calculation is applied on each tick.
The probability of an x% resistance is given by the following formula (AR is the average resistance calculated above):

P(x) = 50% - 250%*|x - AR|

If the probability is less than 0, it cannot occur.

habria q ver de q version es la ultima parte de los DoTs

por otro lado encontre que 134 de resistencias da un 25% de disminucion de daño por lo tanto un 25% de reduccion de posibilidades de ser alcanzado por un spell binario
