alterMW3 pre-alpha released





We are proud to release the results of 3 days of hard work doing mostly nothing, a pre-release alpha version of alterMW3. Only matchmaking is implemented at this point, and other features (FOV changing, possibly modification support, dedicated servers, friend inviting, ...) will come at a later time.

You can download it at alterMW3 - be aware the game is not guaranteed to work, and might cause the DemonWare server to crash heavily.

It will only work with the English game, however you can download it freely from Steam from the 'Tools' section (the dedicated server includes most files you need).

This guide is for people who have a ripped version (SP-RIP/FULL RIP) or don't have the game at all.
If you are absolutely sure that you have the the FULL version installed, skip to step 12.

Install steam (if you can't do this, don't bother with the next few steps. Instead, press alt-f4)
Log in with any steam account. (Create one if necessary. You can put in whatever email you like, they don't check it)

Zoom in (real dimensions: 721 x 241)Image
Keep on pressing "next"
Click "finish"
Wait for download to complete
Run the server once so steam can install all the dependencies. Shut down the server right after it starts.
Navigate to where you installed steam. Usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam" or "C:\Program Files"
Open "steamapps->common"
Copy "modern warfare 3" folder to somewhere else, for easy access
Log in with your forum account and download alterMW3 patch.
Extract the patch to where you copied mw3
Run altermw3.exe as admin
???
Profit!

Notes:

If you're running windows xp and below, install viewtopic.php?f=140&t=106252
This will only install MP files, so you can't play single player or spec ops.
This will work even without a prior mw3 installation
Your steam account is not at risk, although it doesn't hurt to make a new one
If you paste the files over SP-RIP files, you will get a full game

lo feo es qe te baja todo el juego despues lo parcheas con alter .

parece ser qe si tenes el trucho te anda lo mismo.

solucion al problema de aiw2 se detuvo

entras con iwmp5 directo , sale un cartelito feo y despues te tenes qe loguear. (CUENTA DE ALTERIWNET)

el server esta down , prueben mañana

donde lo consigo ?)

Prefiero esperar, si anda como el black ops ni da jugarlo, aunq prefiero este al otro.

Pero no es como el black ops q tenes q estar media hora reloj tratando de q se guarde una clase de mierda? ahora lo instale esta actualizando pero como decis la pagina dice q ta offline, mas tarde o mañana lo proebo
