Sin cambios en la web oficial de Natural Selection

Ya informamos de este hecho a finales del pasado mes, pero la situación parece que poco a variado en la web oficial de uno de los MODs MP para Half-Life 1 más jugados, el conocidísimo Natural Selection, del cual tenés una completa review en castellano dentro de este enlace. La web en cuestión lleva fuera de servicio desde hace ya más de un mes, y según nos informan desde la misma web oficial, el estado de la web seguirá así una temporada más aún por determinar.



Según parece, la web oficial de Natural Selection estará fuera de servicio durante una buena temporada más para, según comunican ellos mismos, prepararla para la acogida de la nueva versión del MOD, Natural Selection v3.1, versión que ya ha entrado en la fase de testeo interno tal como nos informan ellos mismos:

We are working away on making all the needed security enhancements to the site and are not far off now. These things always seem to take longer then anticipated, but we think we could have it back up in as soon as a week from today. We are working as much as we can on this, and we do appreciate your patience.

As you can see, the site is still down and we're still working on getting everything back to normal. We apologize for the delay, and are doing everything we can to get the site back online as soon as possible. [ August 7th, 2005 ] :: Temporary site outage

We are going to be bringing down the website while we work to stamp out another hack attempt on the forums. There is no estimate for when the site will be back up, but it may be quite some time. We apologize for the inconvienence and hope to be back up and running soon. I will update this posting once a more definite schedule is in place.



Así que a los fans de este MOD nos les queda más que esperar.
Mientras tanto, os recordamos que hace pocos dias se lanzó un parche únicamente para servidores, y por lo tanto, los jugadores CLIENTES (no servidores) no necesitan para nada descargarse y instalar este parche.

Changelog:

- Reworked hit registration code so that it orients itself closer around model shapes. For example, you can now shoot between the Onos' legs without injuring it.
- Removed the shotgun's falloff to remove a number of associated bugs.
- Profiled and optimized server performance to reduce CPU load. Although results will vary from system to system, we expect many server operators to see up to a 10% increase. This is just the first stage of performance optimization, expect more in v3.1.

nice info, hablando de eso, tambien la web esta down no solo por matenimiento hasta sacar la v3.1 si no tambien por constantes ataques de hackers.
