Aca les dejo un pequeño "FAQ" sobre la serie 9000 de Nvidia. Arriba quise poner que lo mejor seria una 8800, pero como estaba pensando en la 9000, puse 9000 en lugar de 8800 =P

Seeing as how there's an endless number of topics being posted regarding DirectX 10.1, here's a quick little FAQ to clear up some of the nonsense being posted and to end the flood of topics. Hopefully this can be pinned for a little while so everyone can see.

Q: What is DirectX 10.1?
A: DirectX 10.1 is an update to the recently released DirectX 10 for Windows Vista. Being a superset to DX10 (Meaning it includes everything featured in DX10) DX10.1 improves on and adds new features to DX10. IF you would like to see the specifics on DX10.1, feel free to read on about them Here.

Q: Will my current DirectX 10 card support DirectX 10.1?
A: Unfortunately, No. DirectX 10.1 introduces new features that current DX10 cards are incapable of supporting.

Q: Does this mean that my DirectX 10 card won't be able to play DirectX 10.1 games?
A: No, just like with DX9 and DX10, DX10.1 games will be able to "fall back" to DX10 if you're using unsupported hardware, just like how current DX10 games fall back to DX9 if you're running a 7000 or earlier series card.

Q: When is DirectX 10.1 expected to be released?
A: DirectX 10.1 is supposedly going to be released with Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) which is currently being tested internally at Microsoft and by select testers (And by the general public, thanks to a recent leak), however this has yet to be officially confirmed. Vista's SP1 is, however, expected to be released late 2007 to early 2008.

Q: This sucks! I just bought an 8000 series card and I was expecting it to be future proof! Now what?
A: Wo, hold on there little Jimmy; just like with DirectX 10, DirectX 10.1 games won't be hitting the market for years to come. Your shiney new 8000 series card isn't even near obsolete yet, heck, barely any DX10 games are out on the market yet. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy DX10 before you even have to worry about DX10.1. By the time DX10.1 games are on the market, you'll most likely have a nice new shiney DX10.1 card anyways.

Q: When can we expect to see hardware that supports DirectX 10.1?
A: Although nothing has been confirmed yet, Nvidia's upcoming 9000 series of cards and ATI's R600 series are expected to be DirectX 10.1 capable. No release dates for either series have been confirmed yet, however recent news has stated that we may see 9800 cards in stores as early as November. (Hopefully Evga would be kind enough to shed some light on this situation)
